Junaidu Ishaq is the Founder of KYA. He was born on the 22nd October 1997, and raised in Kauru West, Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna state. He began his educational journey at UBE Marbaki Primary School (2003–2008) and Government Secondary School Kauru (2009–2014). He proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he earned his first degree between 2014-2018, and his master’s degree in 2025. He holds multiple professional certifications, including UNESCO REF Certificates in Leadership Capacity Building (LCB) and Intellectual Capacity Building (ICB), the United Kingdom Association of Business Executives (UK-ABE) certification in Economic Capacity Building (ECB), and a UNESCO REF TAP Masterclass Certificate in Personal Reinvention and Transformation in partnership with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs, Executive Short Course in Environmental Standards by SPESSECE Ahmadu Bello University among many others. Deeply rooted in community values and local development, his life journey reflects a strong commitment to education, leadership, service, and the transformation of youth potential into meaningful social and economic impact within Kauru and beyond.

Safiyanu was born on October 30, 1988, in Dakace, Zaria LGA of Kaduna State, Safiyanu Abdul Ishaq is a dedicated community development advocate known for his commitment to youth engagement, enlightenment initiatives, and promoting unity and peaceful coexistence. He served as a Laboratory Technician at Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria after his NYSC in 2017 and is actively involved in community groups and associations. He hails from Kagadama, Kauru East ward.

Muhammad Bashar was born in 1997 and raised in Unguwan Nasarawa, Kauru, into the family of Malam Tahir H. Yunusa, the JIBWIS Kauru Chief Imam. He is a native of Kauru and is deeply rooted in the religious and community life of his people.

Abubakar was born in 1996, finished primary and secondary educations in kauru. He further obtained his first degree at Kano state University of science and technology. He is currently working with a private company.

Mubashar was born in 1997 in Kauru, where he was raised and began his academic journey. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from UBE Marbaki in 2008. In the same year, he enrolled at Government Junior Secondary School, Kauru. After three years, he proceeded to Science Secondary School Ikara, where he completed his secondary education and obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) in 2014.

Alhaji Ya’u Shehu Usman, the Emir of Kauru, born on 15th May 1955 in Kauru, Kaduna State, is the son of the late Sarkin Kauru, Alhaji Usman Ibrahim, and a distinguished figure of royal heritage. A revered traditional ruler and seasoned public servant, he has devoted decades to governance and public service across Kaduna State and Nigeria. He ascended the throne as Sarkin Kauru the 30th, where he has led his people for over five years with integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to peace, unity, and development, making him a respected moral authority and natural Patron of the KYA. He began his education at Primary School, Kauru in 1967, completed secondary education at Barewa College in 1974, and obtained professional training in accounting at Kaduna Polytechnic (1974–1977). He further advanced his professional competence through training with the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) in Jos, earned the CNA certification in 2003, and completed advanced leadership and administrative programmes in Lagos and at the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) in 2007.
Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Balarabe is a seasoned banker with over 25 years of experience in Nigeria’s financial services industry, particularly in corporate, commercial, and retail banking. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom, and a Master’s degree in Finance from University of Lagos. A licensed dealing member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange since 1992, he has held senior positions at Oceanic Bank Plc and United Bank for Africa Plc. He was appointed to the Board of Fidelity Bank Plc in April 2012 and has attended executive education programs at leading global institutions including Columbia University Business School and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He is widely recognized for his leadership, strategic management, and extensive banking expertise.
Dr. Ya'u Idris, born in Kauru, Kaduna State, is a nuclear physicist and the Director General of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA). He earned a BSc in Physics from University of Maiduguri, an MSc in Physics from University of Ibadan, and a PhD in Nuclear Physics from Ahmadu Bello University. He also holds specialized certifications in nuclear safety and power from Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety and Argonne National Laboratory. He has served as Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Kaduna State and as a lecturer-researcher at University of Maiduguri and Ahmadu Bello University. Internationally, he contributes to nuclear safety as Vice Chairman of the Forum of Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa, African Regional Coordinator for the International Atomic Energy Agency, and Advisory Board Member of the African Nuclear Business Platform.
His Royal Highness, the Chief of Kumana, was born on 25th August 1983 and is the second son of the late His Highness Alhaji Abdul Salam Abdullahi. He holds an HND in Business Administration and Management Studies from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic. He served as Personal Secretary to the late Chief from 2013 to 2015 before ascending the throne on 2nd October 2015 following his father’s passing. He is a family man, blessed with two wives and children.
