Let Kauru Enjoy the Dividends of Democracy - Again. A Plea to H.E, Senator Uba Sani.

Recall that, on the 4th of February 2026, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, visited our community for the commissioning of the Pambeguwa–Kahuta–Kauru Road, a landmark 21.85-kilometre stretch of asphalt that has transformed the lives of thousands of our people. For decades, the road linking Pambeguwa to Kauru through Kahuta was a source of untold hardship, a death trap in the rainy season, a nightmare for farmers moving their produce to market, and a constant threat to the safety of our women, children, and elders. Today, because of the vision and commitment of this administration, that suffering belongs to the past.
We, the people of Kauru, remain deeply grateful. Gratitude, however, must never be silent when there is still work to be done, and so we write today not in protest, but in hope, to respectfully remind His Excellency of the promises he made to us on that historic day.
The Promises We Hold Dear
During the commissioning ceremony, Governor Uba Sani graciously assured the people of Kauru of two further commitments: the construction of township roads within Kauru town, and a lasting solution to the electricity challenge that has held back our community's growth for far too long. These were not casual remarks. They were promises made publicly, before our traditional leaders, our youths, our elders, and our women, promises that gave us renewed hope that Kauru, too, is seen, valued, and remembered by the government of Kaduna State.
Kauru town, the headquarters of our Local Government Area, still contends with roads that turn to mud with every rainfall, cutting off access to markets, schools, health centres, and homes. Meanwhile, our community continues to grapple with absent of power supply, a challenge that stifles small businesses, discourages investment, keeps our students reading by candlelight, and denies our artisans and traders the tools to thrive in a modern economy.
We Have Seen Your Benevolence Elsewhere, Your Excellency
We note, with admiration and no small measure of encouragement, the Governor's recent award of township road projects in Zaria. We celebrate this achievement alongside our brothers and sisters there, for development anywhere in Kaduna State is a source of pride to all of us as citizens. But we also see in it a reflection of what is possible, proof that when this administration turns its attention to a community's township roads, real and lasting transformation follows.
It is in this same spirit of hope that we ask: let Kauru also enjoy from this benevolence. We are not asking for a favour outside the ordinary course of governance; we are simply asking that a promise made to us, in our own town, before our own people, be honoured in due course, just as it has been honoured elsewhere.
Our Humble Appeal
Your Excellency, Kauru has always stood with this government. Our people trooped out in their numbers to celebrate the commissioning of the Pambeguwa–Kahuta–Kauru Road, and that same goodwill remains alive today. We believe that a leader who could deliver a project of that magnitude to us has both the capacity and the heart to complete the remaining promises made to our community.
We therefore respectfully and humbly appeal to His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, to kindly consider and approve the award of the township roads project in Kauru town, and to extend the ongoing rural electrification and power infrastructure efforts to our community, in fulfilment of the promises made on that memorable day of the 4th of February 2026.
We have waited with patience, and we will continue to wait with hope and with faith in this administration's commitment to equitable development across all corners of Kaduna State, urban and rural, large and small. Kauru is ready. Kauru is grateful. Kauru is watching, and Kauru is waiting.
May God bless His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, and may He continue to grant him the wisdom and strength to lead Kaduna State to greater heights.
